Yearning For Home

This world seems to be getting more depraved by the minute. Everything that is Godly is being mocked and thrown in the garbage.  Sin is lurking at every corner. For the christian our yearning for home, our heavenly home should be stronger than ever.

Oh how I long for the day when this whole earth passes away and we get to see Jesus.

He is our only hope.

Lord help me to stay focused on you, and not get comfortable in this life. I am looking forward to the day when you wipe every tear from our eyes and we will get to enjoy you forever

For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling,

For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better.

But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.
