"Accept the fact that POOP is now part of your vocabulary" and other words of wisdom for first time parents

During our baby shower a few months ago our guests were invited to leave words of wisdom for us first time parents. Some made us laugh, some made us wonder what we were getting into, and after having our beautiful baby girl we realized how true most of these words turned out to be. Here's some of the wonderful words of wisdom we received and for you to enjoy:

- Accept the fact that all of your conversations will now be about poop.
-Accept the fact that at some point there will be poop everywhere.
- The one time you don't put a pad underneath your furniture or have a burp cloth handy she will puke on you.
-Right around 4 weeks when you are starting to lose your mind she will smile at you for the first time and you will feel amazing.
-Every month that goes by gets better and better and more fun than the month before and you won't be able to remember your life without her.

-Remember to take lots of pics
- Sleep when baby sleeps

-Designate a date night
-Be affectionate and loving in front of children so they can learn the gift of love at an early age
-Discipline with consistency and follow through with what you tell her.

-When the lack of sleep and frustration come remember the joy you had at baby's birth
-Remember teamwork

-Time flies, some days you'll be exhausted and overwhelmed but even then make sure you embrace the moment, there is always good, just pause and enjoy. they grow up fast

- Try to make a habit of presenting a united front. If your ever in a place of disagreement discuss it behind closed doors. Children are wise enough to sense disharmony and will conquer and divide if they see disunity.

-Be patient, be kind, be flexible
-Always tell your kids how much you love them.

-Read to your little ones

-Always stay lovers, love your children but remember that they will grow up and be on their own then you are back to the lover stage.

-Buy ear plugs.

-Wife remember to respect your husband when he doesn't want to change baby's diaper or when your up feeding in the 2am-4am hours.

-Husband remember to love you wife when she breaks down crying during those 2am-4am feedings

-Pray for your children's salvation

-Every now and then send kids to grandparents house and get away

  1. Advice from Faith from "Gods Faithbook"faith HELLO ...THE BEST ADVICE I CAN GIVE YOU, HAVING RAISED 7, IS TO MAKE JESUS FAMILY.

ONE OF THE FIRST WORDS MY CHILDREN SPOKE WAS JESUS. I SANG JESUS SONGS TO THEM FROM THE TIME THEY WERE BORN. I TALKED ABOUT JESUS TO THEM. AND I TAUGHT THEM TO TALK TO JESUS AS A WONDERFUL FRIEND, LORD, SAVIOR AND PROTECTOR. MAKE JESUS A REALLLLLLLLLLLLL PART OF YOUR DAILY LIVES...I READ THEM WONDROUS BIBLE STORIES. JESUS WAS & IS FAMILY. WHEN YOUR BABIES SEEEEEEEEEE YOU DEPENDING ON JESUS, BRINGING JESUS INTO EVERYTHING YOU ARE, DO , THINK AND SAY AND THEY SEE YOU READING HIS WORD, PRAYING....JESUS WILL BEEEEEEEEE PART OF THEIR FAMILY....WHEN THEY SEEEEE YOU ASK JESUS AND THEM TO FORGIVE YOU WHEN YOU MAY BE TIRED OR IMPATIENT..WHEN THEY HEAR YOU SAY YOU LOVE JESUS AND THEM....THEY WILL FEELLLLLLLLLLLLL THE PRECIOUSNESS OF JESUS ALL OF THEIR LIVES......
